The sound of the alarm clock jars you out of a deep sleep. What a night of bad dreams, nightmares really. It seemed so real. So many different characters and strange environments. As you get out of bed you notice dirty shoe prints on the floor. How did your shoes get so muddy? Your clothes are filthy too. Why can't you remember? Getting ready to start the day you put on your jacket and notice something in your pocket. It's a crumpled up piece of paper. It's just an old torn and faded Carnival flyer. Fear washes over you and you toss it into the trash. It was just a dream you tell yourself...just a bad dream.
Sleep well my children but beware of the places your dreams lead you. Don't look too deeply into the dark and do not linger there too long for there may be no return.
