In stunned horror all you can do is watch as a creature removes a small section of the wall. You stare at each other then the creature speaks slowly in a low, gruff voice.

"There is no reason to fear us, we are not nightmares. We have been hiding here for a long, long time. We are the creatures created by the imagination of children. We are the monsters under the bed, the things hiding in the closet, and other imaginary monsters created in their minds. Harming the children that have created us would never enter our minds. Like you, we have been captured and being hunted by the Night Hag in her nightmare world. If she finds us she will turn us into Nightmares and send us back to terrorize the children that have imagined us. The Nighthag will use us to enter the dreams of children to twist their minds and turn them bad."

"We have never revealed ourselves to a Dreamer before but need your help desperately. One of our monsters has gone missing. He may be lost or captured. I don't know if you can help him or if your nightmare path would come close to him. But if you can help him and send him back to us I would be so grateful and the children that imagined us will be much safer."

"I made a missing poster. Please take it and help us if you can. It's on the wall. Goodbye, goodluck, thank you."

And then the creature begins sealing the wall again. One last look and you see a countless number of every imaginable monster, all hidden away in an endless cavern. Maybe YOUR imaginary monster is there.
