Opening the door allows escape from Miss Grul's evil boarding house. The feeling of safety quickly fades as you view the landscape. The swampy soil you stand on feels like it is trying to pull you down. The air smells of rotting plant life and other unpleasant things. Sulphur bubbles pop to the surface further turning the air into a toxic stinking mix. The ground is covered by mucky water and makes it difficult to navigate safely. Skeleton like trees and occasional flashes of lightning enhance the gloom and doom of Salems Marsh. Placing your fate in the ghost woman you follow her until she stops at a clearing in the vast swamp. For the first time she turns and acknowledges your presence. Her face one moment looking young and the next decomposing. She begins to speak:

"My name is Lily Rose and this is my never ending nightmare. My bones are deep in this swamp. I am forgotten. I am doomed to forever repeat over and over my last few moments of life and suffer my suffocating death. There is no peace in death for me, just endless torment and pain. I am alone but not alone. This swamp is a graveyard, there are so many of us here. All of us forgotten. I have witnessed the horror that lays beneath this swamp. You are not one of us and you do not belong here. Leave now while you still can. Death is coming for me again, she is near. Farewell."

In the swampy mist you helplessly watch the brutal past and the taking of the life of Lily Rose. There is nothing you can do. A light flickers nearby.
