The door to the right opens into a pitch black room. The candle light can barely penetrate this darkness. Through the cracks in the ceiling and walls the lightning helps to illuminate the room. Experiments may have taken place in this room. This may be the room the investigator was held in. The notes could be here. You make your way slowly across the room. You look up and at the same time a lightning bolt flashes and you see a skeleton shackled to a torture rack. An I.V. stand is near the rack, it's contents just a dried, disgusting mass. This poor soul must have suffered horribly and was kept alive with the I.V. solution until they were no longer of use to the doctor. You see a small notebook wedged in the corner. These are the investigators notes! And these are his remains! 
The door closes and you hear nothing more. They must have left, satisfied no one was here. As you light the candle once again and settle in to read the notes you hear the door slowly open! What will you do? This time whatever it is shows no sign of leaving -- it must know you are here. There are two ways out of this room.
