 Your host is angry at your snooping and waits for an explanation. You tell him that you thought you heard him calling for you and that is why you went up the stairs. He seems satisfied with that and tells you that dinner is ready then leads you down the hall. At the staircase you see the bloody scarf and all traces of blood are gone. In the dim light it appears your host is not as gray looking.
He leads you to a large dining hall and asks you to sit down. The meal he presents you does not stimulate your appetite. The food is moving. No doubt infested with beetles and worms. Then your host excuses himself once again and leaves you alone with your meal. There are several doors, one could be the exit out of this horrible house. Which door will it be.
