The path you have picked looks promising enough. The mist is thicker and deeper here, but at least for now the creature isn't following. You hope there aren't any slithering things on this boggy ground. These tree leaves look odd to you as you run past them. They are oddly shaped and seem to move. And they move in a way you don't like. You needn't worry about stepping on slithery things on the ground, most are above you, hanging from the trees and vines, hundreds of them...waiting to drop on you! The shear horror makes you run faster and then you fall into a cold wetness. It seems like a small murky pond, only it feels so heavy. In fact you are unable to raise your arms to try and swim. QUICKSAND. The more you struggle the quicker you sink. Copyright © 1998-2013 M. Buck All Rights Reserved FRIGHTBYTES.COM - Home |
