Salems Marsh remains a dark and foreboding place. Sunlight does not dare penetrate the dense mist and any old paths to it have long ago been swallowed up by the swamp. It is a forgotten place. Thick swamp plant growth and deadly bogs make it almost impenetrable.

Some say on stormy nights a lantern light can be seen in the marshes. Old stories say it is a woman, slowing floating as if searching for something. Could it be the spirit of Lily Rose still searching for her bones? Still searching for a rip in the veil that traps her? All the unfortunate souls trapped here, remain forever. They are lost. Like Lily Rose they will never find what they seek - Escape.

Other stories are told of a creature that still lives in the swamps - an abomination. A thing with tentacles that feeds on the dead leaving behind only a trail of thick slime. The Thing discovered by Miss Grul was an extension of the Dark Energy. It had stretched it's tentacles outward from the deep darkness, upward to find release into the world of light. The Thing would have withered and died if Miss Grul had not discovered it buried in damp soil and decomposing leaves while searching for her special mushrooms. Does it still roam the marsh?

There are many stories about Salems Marsh but your old story ends here and a new one begins as the Keeper of Dark Time. Perhaps, in time, more stories will unfold of haunted Salems Marsh.
