You have decided to look around this area a bit more. There are several signs indicating the area is secured by electrical fences. Even though power has been unavailable for a long time there is always the chance a facility has alternate resources. You follow the hum to an outbuilding with a heavy duty lock on it. Several shotgun blasts takes care of the lock and inside you find a generator and turn it off. You return to the impound gate and enter the small shack that contains the keys for the vehicles. Unfortunately your shotgun alerted something as a screech fills the air. With your hands filled with car keys you need to quickly find a car that will start.
