What happened to the other researchers? While repairing a generator the group was attacked by a zombie horde. Two were bitten and although they tried to slow the infection it did no good. Going over the scientists notes you find mention of a helipad located on the roof of the cabin. All members of the scientists research team were qualified to fly it. The helicopter is prepared and in a few hours you're in the sky. The Book of Mardis is left behind, safely locked up in the safe. Mardis must not gain possession of the book.
