You'll miss the protection and company of your canine companion but now that you've joined up with the scientist it's best to leave the dog behind to help protect the survivors. Reluctantly you say goodbye. The safehouse door closes behind you. You need to make the long ascent back up the many level of stairs to return to the helicopter on the roof. As you walk over the zombie parts in the hallway the scientist stops to examine some bloody writing on the wall. It reads: "MARDIS WALKS AMONG US". He turns to you with a look of horror on his face and says "We must hurry". You have reached the rooftop access door. As the door opens you hear gunshots. The researcher pilot is firing on zombie creatures not seen before. Taking off and looking down at the building just left you see hundreds of the batlike creatures scurrying up the sides of the structure. The scientist says they've mutated into something else. Mardis is being resurrected and has begun a new infection. This one worse than the original zombie plague. Mardis wants her book to complete her resurrection and is creating more monsters to find it.
