You have chosen to go straight ahead. You're curious about that reddish substance oozing from under the door. Wonder what it is? Well there's only one way to find out. You push the door, it creaks open. A framed portrait was knocked over as the door opened. When you pick it up your eyes must be playing tricks on you as it seems to change when you touch it. You quickly set it down - face against the wall. 
Touch Me Your flickering candle casts a feeble light into this room. You can't believe what you see!!! To your utter amazement, it turns out to be a huge wine cellar. You are cold and wet - the wine might warm you up, and you ARE thirsty and would like a drink of something. Guess the red stain coming from under the door was just red wine that had spilled out when a bottle was dropped. You go down the rickety stairway. 
At the bottom of the stairs you see something tossed in the corner. Looks like a book. Could it be the Doctor's notes? You pick it up, knock the dust and spiderwebs off and start to open it up.
