The noise of your gunshot has caught the attention of a group of nearby zombies. They smell BRAINS - your brains. Going from vehicle to vehicle and finding the keys hidden in various spots you frantically try to find one that starts. There must be one with a good battery! As a zombie smashes the car window and reaches in to grab you the car starts with a sputter. The zombie tries to bite you but you put the pedal to the metal and pull away. The zombie arm is still on you but only because it's separated from it's rotting owner. You drive away from the car repair yard leaving a trail of of splattered zombie parts. The only good zombie is a REALLY dead zombie. Looking down at the dashboard you breathe a sigh of relief. The gas tank is half full, you should be able to make it to your destination. It is now night and you have not seen any other vehicles driving on the highway and you hope it stays that way. Chances are any other travelers would be a gang or cannabalistic humans so you drive with no headlights so as not to attract any attention. Suddenly there's a loud pop - the steering wheel pulls violently to the side and the bumpy thump of the tires indicates only one thing - a blown tire!
