You have decided to follow the family group. You keep a safe distance as you watch not only them, but also behind you and in all other directions. Danger comes from everywhere out here in the wasteland. As night approaches they stop to settle in for the night. Although it's cold no fires can be started. That would just be a beacon for either zombies or marauders. You watch them pass around some meager food rations then huddle together for warmth and some sleep. Several hours pass when you are woke up by snapping twigs and rustling in the brush. As your eyes become accustomed to the dark you see what caused the noises. ZOMBIES. The intact ones shuffle slowly onward, the zombies that have lost most of their body parts slither along like snakes. Not far away one of the humans coughs which immediately alerts the zombies.
