The frightening spector continues toward you as you quickly aim the weapon and shoot the thing in the head. Whatever it was it certainly wasn't human. One bite from a zombie will infect. The rest of the basement is clear. You go back to the dead creature and search it. Could it be the scientist? You find a wallet and a wave of relief sweeps over you - this was not the scientist. Further investigation reveals more notes in the scientists handwriting. He may have pinpointed the beginning of the plague and has gone on to confirm that his research was correct.
